Earn while you learn
Don’t let finances come between you and your dreams. Check-out the scholarships and assistantships available at MSU to support students seeking their graduate degree. Graduate teaching and research assistantships are available in most departments for highly qualified graduate students. Graduate Teaching Assistants mentor undergraduates by supporting the work of the professor in the classroom or laboratory setting. Research Assistantships work side-by-side with scholars on a variety of scholarly research endeavors.
Non-resident graduate students awarded an assistantship may also receive the equivalent of in-state tuition during the semesters when they have assistantships.  A student who has, or will have an approved graduate assistantship may request an in-state equivalency for one summer during his/her graduate career.
